Rugby Holiday Camp Success Thanks to all who attended and supported the holiday camps over the last few days. Lots of fun had by all in very rugby-like conditions! Please comment below should you wish any further information on joining one of our minis or junior squads.
Under 12's U12's Mosborough v Dronfield Another very frustrating morning for the lads, with an 'up-and-down' performance. The highlight reel is excellent from today; wonderful phases, 2-on-1s executed well, lovely tip ons and organised phase play and classy tries as a result.
1st XV International Tickets Tickets for the autumn internationals are due to go on sale to clubs on the 24th April, for 1 month.
Under 10's U10's Rotherham v Dronfield As the under 10’s turned up to Rotherham 12 washing machines took a collective sigh of relief as the conditions were excellent and the pitch in great condition! Dronfield made a superb start with some excellent defending backed up by the team making the most of the good conditions showing off their attacking skills.
Under 13's U13's Dinnington v Dronfield A visit to Dinnington for our U13’s this morning. Usually a challenging physical task and today was no different, especially as the boys are at an age of physically developing at different speeds. Dinnington have a large squad and plenty of big athletic lads as well as some serious weight in their pack.
Under 12's U12's Dronfield v Rotherham Phoenix A very disappointing morning for the lads, as they battled extremely hard against a very physically dominant Phoenix outfit. We certainly played some outstanding rugby, but struggled to contain some enormous runners from free taps.
Under 12's U12's Dronfield v Belper With the waterlogged pitches over at Belper, we were lucky to play today as Belper were willing to travel. The only minis / junior game to take place. Dronfield had prepped well during the week and started with a bang.
Vets Vets Dinnington v Dronfield Dronfield vets/ 3rds travelled with a much-changed side with several players making their senior debut for Dronfield. Dinnington were first to score and proved they were more organised, than Dronfield makeshift back line. Dinnington, were dominant for the first 20 minutes and scored 4 tries and converted 3.
Under 12's U12's Dronfield v Chesterfield Panthers After a few difficult games, Dronfield picked up a win on the road today to boost confidence going into the final stage of the season. We'd lacked energy and competitiveness across the squad over the last few weeks; the target today was to win the small battles, in particular staying alert to 50:50 opportunities and winning the race to the ruck.
